The Signet Library

The venue’s layout is one of its defining strengths, offering multiple spaces that can be tailored to each stage of your wedding day. The Lower Library provides an impressive backdrop for ceremonies, with a long, elegant aisle and classical columns that elevate the moment of saying “I do”. It is also well suited to welcome drinks and canapés after the ceremony or host intimate gatherings before moving upstairs. A grand staircase then leads guests to the Upper Library, a larger, soaring room with ornate cornices, a built-in PA system and a wooden dance floor designed for receptions, speeches and dancing.

Couples have flexibility in how they structure their celebrations at The Signet Library. The Lower Library can be used for civil, humanist or religious ceremonies, with capacity for up to around 150 guests in this space, while the Upper Library accommodates larger wedding breakfasts and evening receptions for up to approximately 220 seated guests. The venue can also be used exclusively for your celebration, creating a sense of privacy and continuity from ceremony through to dancing.
